Frequently Asked Questions

We recommend bringing a valid photo ID, sunscreen (reef-safe if possible), a towel, and a change of clothes if you'd prefer to be dry on that ride back to the dock.

It can be sunny and windy, so you may want to bring a light jacket, sunglasses, and a hat. If you'd like to capture the experience yourself, you're welcome to bring a waterproof camera like a GoPro.

Snorkel gear is provided, so no need to bring your own. Leave the valuables at home and bring your sense of adventure.

Starting at the dock when you board the dive boat and during the 3-mile trip out to dive site, you will be briefed on what to expect from your dive beginning with a safety briefing from your Captain.

Your Divemaster will give you a demonstration of the equipment and will further explain with visual aides, photos and graphics about the nature and identification of the sea life and answer any questions that you may have.

Once at the dive site, the Divemaster will enter the water first, then call the divers in after an evaluation of the site. This is where the real fun begins!

If you think you might get seasick, we strongly recommend taking an over-the-counter remedy like Dramamine or Bonine.

The most effective way to prevent seasickness is to take an over-the-counter motion sickness medication like Dramamine or Bonine the night before your tour, then take a second dose about an hour before you board. This allows the medication to enter your system and build a defense against seasickness.

Our shark handlers are world-class professionals with years of experience working with these animals in their natural environment. They know shark behavior inside and out, and their job is to make sure every guest is safe and comfortable in the water at all times.

That said, this is the open ocean and these are wild animals — we always treat them with respect and prioritize safety above all else.

Our safety record speaks for itself, and our guests consistently rate us 5 stars over thousands of dives and across Google, TripAdvisor, Yelp, and Facebook.

Our tours our small, with a maximum of 6 guests per tour. This allows for a more intimate, personalized, and safer experience. Your guides will be with you at all times during the tour, including in the water with you.

They will be there to ensure your safety and comfort, and to help you have the best experience possible. With a small group, you'll have more opportunities to interact with your guides and get the most out of your tour.

Our professional photographers are not on every tour, so if you want professional photos, please let us know when booking by calling our office at (808) 829-2203.

Yes. Our photographers are some of the best in the bessiness and are available upon request.

If you want professional photos, please let us know when booking by calling our office at (808) 829-2203.

Great photos depend on a combination of factors, including water clarity, weather, lighting conditions, and shark activity on the day of your tour. Because our crew is on the water every day, they have the best sense of current conditions. If getting incredible photos is a top priority, give us a call before booking and we'll be happy to help you choose a tour time that offers the best opportunity based on the latest conditions.

No. This is not a scuba diving tour and you don't need any kind of special certification. All you need is snorkel equipment. All your snorkel gear will be provided at no additional cost. You are also welcome to bring your own.

No, you don't need to be a good swimmer. You will be mostly snorkeling at the surface of the water. Your only requirement is to be able to float and move through the water with minimal effort. Your guides will assist you throughout the experience to ensure that you are safe, comfortable, and have the best experience possible.

Education is an extremely important part of our dive, that's why you will be accompanied by a professionally trained safety diver and shark behaviorist. These highly trained and seasoned professionals are experts in marine life identification and behavior, they will teach you how to safely and comfortably interact with the pelagic sea life, and will also explain conservation efforts in effect and legislation passed to help protect endangered species.

You will come away with so much more than just bragging rights to say “I dove with the sharks or whales”! You will gain knowledge and some great photos and videos too!

We offer free cancellation up to 48 hours before your tour date. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the tour, or no-shows, will be charged the full tour amount.
